Position Summary:

JARBO is seeking a highly qualified and seasoned Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager with expertise in site and land development, as well as municipal infrastructure projects. This role involves leading a dedicated team of engineers and technicians, engaging with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all phases of civil engineering projects, including site and land development, as well as municipal infrastructure initiatives. Formulate project plans, timelines, and financial estimates. Track progress and ensure compliance with established schedules and budgetary limits.
  • Guide and develop a team of engineers, technicians, and support personnel. Effectively delegate responsibilities, provide mentorship, and cultivate a cooperative work atmosphere.
  • Act as the primary liaison for clients and stakeholders. Deliver project updates, resolve issues, and manage expectations to guarantee client satisfaction.
  • Supervise the design and evaluation of civil engineering projects. Assess plans, drawings, and specifications to confirm adherence to regulatory standards and project specifications.
  • Manage the permitting process, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Collaborate with regulatory bodies to secure necessary approvals for project advancement.
  • Establish quality assurance protocols to ensure that projects meet industry benchmarks and client requirements. Conduct site inspections and audits to identify and rectify any issues.
  • Identify potential risks and formulate strategies to mitigate project delays and budget overruns. Proactively tackle challenges to maintain project timelines.
  • Oversee procurement activities, including sourcing materials and subcontractors. Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms.
  • Monitor project financials and expenditures. Analyze costs, track variances, and implement cost-saving initiatives as needed. Ensure project completion within financial constraints.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, drawings, change orders, and other essential records. Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering, focusing on site development, land development, or municipal infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire and guide team members.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
  • Proficiency in engineering design software and tools.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards and codes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
