Job Opportunity:

A leading consulting firm in Kansas City is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer Project Manager to lead site development, land development, or municipal infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and a proven track record of managing projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of civil engineering projects, including site development, land development, and municipal infrastructure projects.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress to ensure adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff, and delegate tasks effectively to foster a collaborative work environment.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, and communicate project updates to ensure client satisfaction.
• Oversee the design and analysis of civil engineering projects, and review plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and project requirements.
• Manage the permitting process, and coordinate with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals for project development.
• Implement quality assurance processes to ensure that projects meet industry standards and client specifications.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
• Manage procurement processes, including sourcing materials and subcontractors, and negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors and subcontractors to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
• Monitor project budgets and expenditures, and track costs to ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field, with a Master's degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on site development, land development, or municipal infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in project management, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
• Proficiency in engineering design software and tools.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and codes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Experience with procurement processes and contract negotiations.
