Position Summary:

The Field Service Engineer is a pivotal role within the Technical Support team, collaborating closely with all members of the Client Care Team. This position is essential for the maintenance and support of both in-house and field-installed robotic systems, engaging in both proactive and reactive service activities as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on robotic systems.
  • Engage with customers through various communication channels, instilling confidence in both personal capabilities and the overall expertise of Clear Labs.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of site visits and detailed service reports.
  • Provide constructive feedback to internal teams to identify failure points and enhance system reliability.
  • Assist the Client Care team to optimize equipment uptime and responsiveness.
  • Support logistics to ensure timely shipping of products and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor at all times when interacting with customers and vendors.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel frequently, with expectations of 25 to 75% travel per month, including some weekend commitments.
  • Hands-on experience in field service, ideally within the biotech, life sciences, or robotics sectors, including familiarity with laboratory safety protocols.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities in electronics, electromechanical systems, robotics, and associated networking components.
  • Prior experience with Hamilton liquid handlers is highly desirable; certification in Hamilton service training is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage customer expectations while delivering outstanding service.
  • Physical capability to lift and move up to 80 lbs on an occasional basis.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without the need for immigration sponsorship.
Compensation and Benefits:

The hourly wage is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include a lunch stipend for days worked at headquarters and reimbursement for business-related personal phone expenses, up to $100 monthly, in accordance with Clear Labs' Travel and Expense Policy.
