Lead Robotics Engineer

As our Robotics Engineering Team Lead, you'll be responsible for leading our robotics engineering efforts and driving innovation in robotic systems. You'll lead a team of talented engineers in designing, developing, and deploying advanced robotic solutions across various domains.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of robotics engineers, setting technical direction, defining best practices, and driving innovation in robotics technologies.
System Design:
Design and architect robotic systems, defining requirements, subsystems, and interfaces to meet project objectives.
Hardware Development:
Develop and integrate robotic hardware components, including sensors, actuators, and control systems, ensuring compatibility and performance.
Software Development:
Develop software for controlling and operating robotic systems, implementing algorithms for perception, planning, and control.
Autonomy:
Develop autonomous capabilities for robotic systems, including perception, navigation, and decision-making algorithms.
Integration and Testing:
Integrate hardware and software components into complete robotic systems, conducting testing and validation to ensure functionality and performance.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure robotic systems comply with safety standards and regulations, implementing safety features and protocols to mitigate risks.
Documentation:
Create technical documentation, including design specifications, system manuals, and test reports, to support development and deployment activities.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and software developers, to deliver end-to-end robotic solutions that meet customer requirements.
Research and Innovation:
Stay informed about the latest advancements in robotics research and technology, exploring innovative approaches and techniques to enhance robotic solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
7+ years of experience in robotics engineering, with a proven track record of developing and deploying robotic solutions.
Leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or MATLAB, and experience with robotics frameworks and libraries.
Strong understanding of robotic hardware components and subsystems, including sensors, actuators, and control systems.
Experience with robotic perception, navigation, and manipulation algorithms, such as SLAM, path planning, and motion control.
Familiarity with robotic simulation tools and platforms, such as ROS (Robot Operating System) and Gazebo.
Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking, with a passion for tackling complex robotics challenges.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
