Unit Overview

Kelemen 8 is a medical-surgical unit that provides care for patients with diverse medical conditions. The unit is equipped with telemetry capabilities to monitor patients effectively. Kelemen 8 experiences a high volume of patient admissions and discharges.

The unit accommodates a total of 77 patients, with the North side hosting 37 patients and 2 hallway areas, while the South side accommodates 36 patients along with 2 additional hallway areas. There are also two negative pressure rooms with an anteroom for specialized care.

A pharmacist is available on the unit to support the nursing staff with medication-related inquiries. Multidisciplinary rounds are conducted from Monday to Friday, involving all members of the healthcare team, including patients and their families.

Position Summary

The Clinical Educator II is a nursing expert responsible for a range of educational and developmental responsibilities within the healthcare setting. This role requires advanced competencies to ensure that nursing staff and unlicensed assistive personnel are equipped with the necessary skills and training to excel in their respective units or specialties.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience in direct patient care is required.
Educational Background
  • A Master's degree is required; a Master's in Nursing is preferred.
Licensure and Certification
  • Current NJ RN license is mandatory.
  • AHA BLS certification is required.
  • ACLS certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
Additional Requirements
  • Availability for 4/10 shifts from 7 PM to 5 AM with flexible weekend coverage.
  • Specialty certification is preferred.
