Health Information Specialist II

At CIOX Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Health Information Specialist II to join our team. This role is responsible for processing release of information (ROI) requests, ensuring accuracy and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Receive and process ROI requests in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information
- Work with minimal supervision, responding to changing priorities and role needs
- Assist with additional work duties or responsibilities as evident or required
- Consistently apply medical privacy regulations to guard against unauthorized disclosure
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-year Health Information related experience
- Basic computer proficiency
- Professional verbal and written communication skills in English
- Detail and quality oriented as it relates to accurate and compliant information for medical records
- Previous production/metric-based work experience
- In-person customer service experience
- Ability to build relationships with on-site clients and customers
This role is generally performed in an office environment with minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions. The incumbent must be able to stand and sit frequently throughout an eight-hour period, reach horizontally and vertically for overhead use, and use a telephone or headset equipment.
Reasonable accommodations are available to qualified individuals with disabilities. Must be willing to travel 75% of their time to multiple sites based on the needs of the region.
