About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Health Information Specialist II to join our team at Datavant. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in processing medical record requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Process and manage medical record requests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to requests in a fast-paced environment
  • Assist with training and development of junior staff members
  • Generate reports and provide data analysis to support business decisions
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in Health Information Management
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a production or metric-based work environment
  • In-person customer service experience
  • Ability to build relationships with on-site clients and customers
Working Conditions

This role requires frequent travel (75% or more) to multiple sites within the region. The incumbent must be able to stand and sit frequently throughout an eight-hour period, reach horizontally and vertically for overhead use, and lift 20 pounds.
