Job Title: Senior Traffic Engineer/Project Manager

Harrison Consulting Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Traffic Engineer/Project Manager to join our Pittsburgh office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading traffic projects, building and maintaining client relationships, mentoring junior staff, and utilizing your technical expertise to lead the team.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage traffic projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Mentor and train junior staff, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their careers.
  • Lead the team with technical expertise, making informed decisions to drive project success.
  • Develop and oversee project scope, schedule, and fees, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
  • Work with existing clients to provide additional scope and services, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Complete administrative duties, including reporting and documentation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Traffic Engineering, with a strong background in traffic signal and traffic control design.
  • PE License in the State of Pennsylvania or ability to obtain within six months.
  • Extensive experience with Maintenance and Protection of Traffic design, Safety Studies, Interchange Studies, and Corridor Studies.
  • Strong knowledge of PennDOT and Local public agency specifications and contract management.
  • PTOE/PTP/RSP or AICP Certification preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Highway Capacity Software (HCS) and Synchro/SimTraffic.
  • Experience with Transmodeler, AutoCAD, and Microstation preferred.
