Job Overview

RETTEW is seeking a highly skilled Senior Highway Engineer to lead our dynamic team in delivering exceptional transportation infrastructure projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing highway projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage traffic engineering projects, including geometric design, roadway design, and construction plan development.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective solutions and ensure project adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and supervise project teams to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, and coordinate with state and local agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
  • Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure project compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in highway project management or a related field.
  • Proven experience with PENNDOT HOP and WV Driveway and Crossing Permits.
  • Strong knowledge of state and local regulations related to highway construction and maintenance.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Ability to lead and manage project teams effectively.
