SAIC is currently seeking a Time Sensitive Strike Engineer to support PMA-242.
This role offers a hybrid-remote arrangement, requiring onsite presence in California, MD for 2-3 days each week. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. An Interim Secret clearance is a prerequisite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess alternative solutions for technical challenges by participating in working group meetings and providing expert technical insights for relevant air platforms, weapon systems, and subsystems.
- Collaborate with various disciplines to prepare or review technical documentation, proposals, investigations, and analyses necessary for Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and requirements verification matrices.
- Examine, analyze, and monitor specifications and data packages.
- Engage in technical working groups, Program Management Reviews, System Safety Working Groups, Systems Engineering Technical Reviews, briefings, and other essential program activities.
- Facilitate effective communication among all stakeholders involved.
Required Experience and Skills:
- A degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related scientific discipline from an accredited institution, along with 10+ years of relevant engineering experience; years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Experience with NAVAIR programs, particularly in weapons systems.
- Familiarity with NAVAIR's Systems Engineering Processes, Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and Airworthiness/Cybersafe processes.
Covid Policy: SAIC does not mandate COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Compliance with customer site vaccination requirements is necessary when working at a customer location.
