About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team at Hopedale Medical Complex. As a key member of our sports medicine team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care to athletes and ensuring their optimal health and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Provide medical coverage at athletic events, practices, and tournaments, ensuring the health and safety of athletes.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including review of medical history and performance of specific assessments.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment programs, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, coaches, and physicians regarding athletes' playing status and ability to return to competition.
  • Collaborate with school athletic directors to ensure seamless coverage and coordination of school sports programs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and modalities, ensuring the highest level of care for patients.
  • Manage supplies and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, including state, district, and national athletic training organizations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
  • BOC certification and IL AT license or eligible.
  • Approximately one to two years' experience in athletic training, with a strong understanding of techniques and modalities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with athletes, parents, coaches, and physicians.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
