About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team at Hopedale Medical Complex. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care to athletes and patients, ensuring their health and well-being, and facilitating their recovery and rehabilitation.

Responsibilities
  • Provide medical coverage at athletic events, practices, and tournaments, ensuring the health and safety of athletes.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including review of medical history, performance of specific assessments, and determination of recommendations.
  • Develop and implement patient treatment programs, ensuring adherence to departmental guidelines and state practice act guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, coaches, and physicians regarding patient care and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with school athletic directors to ensure seamless coverage and coordination of school sports programs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest techniques, modalities, and best practices in athletic training, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
  • BOC certification and IL AT license or eligible.
  • Approximately one to two years' experience in athletic training, with a strong understanding of techniques, modalities, and best practices.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent exposure to athletes, patients, and healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods, and communicate effectively with others.
