Job Summary

ATC White Plains is seeking a highly skilled Registered Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing indirect patient care and working collaboratively with nurses, peers, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver pharmaceutical services to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review patient medication orders against their medication profile, ensuring adherence to hospital and pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Utilize the pharmacy process to meet the age-specific needs of patients in medication education, safety, and patient rights.
  • Implement infection control methods and participate in performance improvement and risk management programs.
  • Apply decision-making skills, including recognition, data collection, priority setting, resource utilization, and collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and maintain a consistent level of performance.
  • Participate in in-services, projects, and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Assume accountability for competency standards and accept constructive criticism to implement corrective measures.
  • Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, respond to change, and provide assistance to peers.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures, dress code, code of conduct, customer service standards, and mandatory inservices.
  • Supervise Pharmacy Assistants and perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of Pharmacy with a minimum of a BS in Pharmacy.
  • Current New York registration.
  • Successful completion of Hospital and Departmental Orientation Program.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical calculations, maintain department competencies, and required continuing education credits for licensure.
  • Act in a professional capacity, serve as a role model, and retain composure under stress.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal English, ambulate, sit/stand for extended periods, and perform manipulative arm-hand steadiness and hand-eye coordination skills.
  • Exposure to chemicals, ability to concentrate on fine detail, and attend to tasks for more than 60 minutes at a time.
