Role Summary: Under the guidance of the Center Director, the Family Services Assistant (FSA) will oversee the administration and assessment of services aimed at children and families. This position is crucial in executing the YMCA's Early Learning Family Services initiative, ensuring the welfare of both children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and enhance the provision of comprehensive family services in areas such as Health, Nutrition, Social Services, Eligibility, and Education.
  • Act as a family advocate to promote family wellness and support the educational growth of children.
  • Maintain necessary documentation for various programs and agencies.
  • Assist in recruiting eligible children and managing registrations.
  • Develop strategies to improve attendance and consistency.
  • Refer children with disabilities to appropriate services.
  • Assess family needs, interests, and resources to promote well-being.
  • Build community partnerships and serve as a liaison for parents.
  • Support health screenings, medical appointments, and treatment plans.
  • Engage in agency-wide initiatives and training programs.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or relevant certification in a related field.
  • Experience in case management and family engagement.
  • A valid Driver's License.

Physical Requirements: Proficiency in sitting, bending, standing, and effective verbal communication.
