LPN Hospital Support Specialist

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Hospital Support Specialist plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. Working under close supervision, this role supports the Registered Nurse or healthcare provider in developing and implementing hospital-based care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect patient history and medical information to provide complete case documentation in hospital medical records.
Assist in developing and implementing care plans as directed by the Registered Nurse or healthcare provider to serve patient needs.
Ensure proper techniques and safety precautions are taken in accordance with Cone Health policies around sterile environments.
Communicate healthcare instructions to patients and families in a clear and concise manner.
Respond to emergencies and safety hazards by utilizing personal protective equipment and hospital precautions to avoid patient harm.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; Diploma in Practical Nursing; Completion of Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) required within 4 years of hire.
Current LPN license in North Carolina; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider certification.
