Key Responsibilities- Milieu Management/Safety: Assist in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment by monitoring compliance with program rules and providing assistance with security and supportive manpower.
- Group Management: Conduct group sessions with and without a preset agenda and format, actively employing therapeutically acceptable sensitivity and skills in managing inappropriate patient behavior.
- Documentation: Document significant occurrences, observed behaviors, and other relevant information in patient charts and reports.
- Communication: Communicate in a courteous and polite manner, responding with appropriate verbal and non-verbal expressions.
- Patient Observation: Provide constant observation and monitoring of assigned patients to ensure safety and prevention of injury.
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Allied Health, or a related field.
- Preferred 3 years of experience on a psychiatric unit or in another healthcare setting.
- Certifications: BLS, CPI (recommended during orientation period).
