Position Title: Senior Regulatory & Product Safety Analyst

Department: Nutrition Regulatory Business Sustaining / Innovation & Sciences

Salary Grade: EXB 16

Salary Range: $100,535 - $130,104

Location: Ada, Michigan

Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled professional to develop and implement global regulatory strategies for our Global Nutrition product development and Business Sustaining Team.

Team Highlights:

The Nutrition Regulatory Affairs team operates as a forward-thinking global unit that guarantees product compliance and safety throughout the product lifecycle. This team formulates scientifically robust regulatory strategies, instilling confidence in our Amway Business Owners (ABOs) that they are offering high-quality products. In this role, you will advise cross-functional teams on ingredient acceptability, formulation design, product labeling, claims, and registration requirements.

Collaborating with our global team, you will also track and analyze the implications of current, pending, and future regulations to ensure that the Nutrition portfolio remains compliant. Key Responsibilities:

In this position, you will oversee the regulatory aspects of product design, ensuring successful regulatory pathways for Amway nutrition products distributed in over 80 countries and territories worldwide. By partnering with essential stakeholders in our corporate structure and across the globe, you will guide nutrition product development teams in providing regulatory-compliant solutions for product design challenges. Your contributions are vital for the creation of new nutritional products for our customers.

You will manage concept/category reviews, label and claims development, international claims support, and the investigation of products, raw materials, ingredients, formulas, and packaging for regulatory compliance. Additionally, you will frequently collaborate with global teams, working alongside regulatory partners both within Amway and in the broader industry. You will spearhead regulatory strategies in a dynamic product development environment, facilitating product access globally. Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Food Science, Regulatory Science, or a related scientific discipline (MS degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with a BS degree or 5 years with an MS degree in Regulatory Affairs, Health/Nutrition, or a related field, utilizing analytical and scientific databases
  • In-depth knowledge of global food/nutrition regulations, with the ability to communicate and interpret regulatory challenges
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional global project teams through risk management scenarios
Essential Skills:
  • A solution-oriented mindset, capable of providing strategic regulatory recommendations for enhancements.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to communicate effectively across cultures and influence stakeholders.
  • RAPS certification is desirable, or experience with food/nutrition laws and/or requirements.

Actual compensation packages are determined by various factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location. This may vary in other locations due to labor cost considerations.
