Position Overview:

We are in search of a Senior Clinical Nutrition Researcher who is dedicated to ensuring the scientific integrity of our nutrition offerings while developing impactful product and program solutions that meet critical consumer needs in the global nutrition sector.

Team Dynamics:

The Nutrition Product Development team is a multidisciplinary group consisting of experts in formulation, process engineering, packaging, and nutritional research.

This team is focused on innovating and delivering new products for our global nutrition portfolio, designed to engage our business partners and attract consumers worldwide.

By collaborating with this technical team, you will contribute to the development of new products with a mindset geared towards open innovation, fostering creative and engaging solutions.

Your collaborative efforts will help position Amway as a leader in the direct selling industry by providing innovative nutrition solutions.

Role Highlights:

As a Clinical Investigator in Nutrition Product Development, you will assess scientific literature to support the Nutrilite product lines and establish scientific credibility that distinguishes Nutrilite from its competitors.

Your responsibilities will include conducting preliminary research to identify relevant mechanisms of action and outcomes, and collaborating with internal teams or external partners to enhance ingredient and product technologies.

When clinical studies are deemed necessary, you will design protocols, select suitable contract research organizations or academic collaborators, oversee study execution, analyze results, and communicate findings in a consumer-friendly manner that aligns with regulatory standards.

Your expertise in nutrition science and clinical research will be pivotal in this role.

This position offers high visibility, with opportunities for patents and publications, while maintaining the esteemed reputation of the Nutrilite brand.

Additionally, you will have the chance to travel internationally, engaging with business partners and sharing your insights on Nutrilite products, nutrition, and health.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • An advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Bioscience, Nutrition, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in scientific research, methodologies, analysis, and data interpretation.
  • A proven track record of scientific presentations and public education on nutrition.
Key Skills:

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • The ability to translate complex scientific concepts into language that is accessible to consumers.
  • Interpersonal skills to influence and motivate both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in leading clinical studies within an industry context.
  • Familiarity with grant application processes.
  • Awareness of industry trends and innovations.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) Certification, ACRP Certification, or a background in naturopathy is advantageous.
