Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Raisso. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the provision of care within our physician department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for office visits or outpatient procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Obtain vital signs and weigh patients, maintaining accurate records.
  • Update problem and medication lists at each patient visit, ensuring up-to-date information.
  • Assist medical providers with procedures, phlebotomy, and other tasks as needed.
  • Perform lab testing according to set protocols and maintain yearly competency.
  • Screen calls, including emergency calls, and ensure all necessary release and consent forms are signed.
  • Maintain sterilization processes of all instruments, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Refill prescriptions, make referral and prescription calls, and perform Medication Prior Authorizations as needed.
  • Prepare electronic charts with all requested information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Schedule patients for procedures and communicate with patients via various communication avenues.
  • Participate in department quality indicators and collect provider quality data as requested.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists, including inventory management and sample management.
  • Maintain working knowledge of IMMPACT procedures, policies, and performance expectations.
  • Comply with all hospital policies, State, Federal, and CMS policies, and maintain medical record privacy and security.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to the hospital's mission, vision, and values.
Requirements
  • Certified Medical Assisting degree or appropriate training.
  • CMA or RMA certification.
  • Ability to work with the public, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Immunization and injection administration, vision & hearing, phlebotomy skills.
