We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Electronics Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. This role requires a blend of hardware and software skills, with experience in test and measurement equipment, and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting complex electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement flexible hardware and software test solutions
- Collaborate with a team of experts to design and integrate hardware and software systems
- Provide manufacturing support during the hardware build process
- Integrate hardware and software into a functioning system
- Certify systems with the quality organization
- Deploy and support systems in a factory environment
- Maintain and refresh software and hardware as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, plus 9 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, plus 7 years of relevant experience, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field, plus 5 years of relevant experience
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
- Strong understanding of design to cost, scope, and schedule
- Experience with test and measurement equipment, including DC, analog, digital, and RF
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with complex electronic systems
- Current/active DoD Secret clearance
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Test design and integration experience
- Ability to work with minimal direction and guidance
- Experience with Lab Windows CVI, C/C++ programming
- Test stand programming experience
- Experience with schematic design tools, such as Mentor Graphics or Zuken
- Proficiency with digital, analog, RF test equipment, and high-speed digital design
- Familiarity with differential digital interfaces, such as LVDS, PXI/PXIe, and VME bus
- Competitive salary range: $127,000 - $190,600
