Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Support Specialist to join our team at ProCare Therapy in Elmwood Park, Illinois.

About the Position:

This full-time, on-site role involves working closely with students who have unique learning needs, helping them thrive in an inclusive educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tailored lesson plans based on individual IEPs to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Collaborate with colleagues and families to develop, implement, and review student IEPs
  • Adapt teaching methods to fit the needs of students with varying abilities
  • Create a welcoming and positive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and social, emotional, and behavioral development
  • Maintain open communication with parents and other school staff to track progress

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education
  • Illinois teaching certification or the ability to obtain it
  • Prior experience in special education is preferred
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
  • Ability to modify teaching strategies based on student needs
