A&RT Academic Support Technologist II
Job Summary:The Academic Technology Specialist II will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting the planning and implementation of academic technologies within the College of Medicine. This position is key to coordinating and delivering support to students, faculty, and staff across assigned units or departments in the Academic Medical environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Work with faculty to introduce new technologies for teaching and learning
- Utilize existing technologies to enhance learning and academic experiences
- Maintain and continuously improve reliable delivery of medical school lectures both locally and to regional campuses
- Support the UK LMS system (Canvas) for assigned units
- Development of web-based learning modules (both internal and external to the LMS)
- Support for lecture capture of academic courses (Echo 360)
- Examination support
- Tier 1 IT incidents and requests relating to academic technology for UK and UK Healthcare
- Proficiency with Canvas or other LMS
- Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and other relevant tools
- Strong understanding of Windows, Mac, and mobile operating systems (iOS/Android)
- Teaching and instructional technologies to enhance learning and academic experiences
- Videoconferencing technologies
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from various technical backgrounds and provide solutions across different levels of expertise
- BA + 3 years of experience
