Software Development Specialist

Aquila Technology is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Specialist to join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software-defined networking concepts and container applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test software applications using various programming languages.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with existing systems.
- Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation.
- Maintain standards compliance and implement localization or globalization of software.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on software-defined networking and container applications.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, OSPF, and DNS.
- Experience with Mininet and software containers (docker, podman, etc.).
- Proficiency in programming languages, including Python, Bash, and Java.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
