Job Summary

The College of Arts and Architecture at Penn State University is seeking a highly skilled Development Assistant to provide support to Major Gift Officers, Directors of Development, and other development staff. This role will engage in prospect and project management, data collection and compilation, administrative support, and liaison services between the unit and central development teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with development staff, committee volunteers, and other stakeholders to maximize fundraising efforts and success.
  • Prepare, provide, and review reports for Major Gift Officers and Directors of Development, ensuring accurate donor tracking and database management.
  • Assist in developing prospect strategies and provide support for annual fundraising goals and functions.
  • Provide administrative support for development staff travel, including pre-travel materials and post-travel follow-ups.
  • Coordinate outreach and special events, including annual giving campaigns.
  • Create and prepare data and reports, including development marketing and promotional materials.
  • Participate in managing portfolios of major gift prospects, updating donor records, and performing other administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check required.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle as part of job duties.
Benefits

Penn State University offers a competitive salary range of $38,000 - $55,500, depending on qualifications and experience. This position also offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work.
