We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Tech PRN to join our team at Del Sol Medical Center. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical center.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Medical Director, you will perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in the utilization of radionuclides for the diagnosis and treatment of disease in humans. You will assume responsibility for designated areas of procedures and/or may be assigned duties as an instructor in areas of specific competence.

Responsibilities
  • Select and operate equipment, selecting proper technical factors on an individual patient basis, using film identification method correctly and consistently, and assists in equipment calibration and radioisotope assay operation.
  • Perform a variety of clerical tasks to include: inputting/editing exams, and completion of requisition prior to sending study to radiologist.
  • Transfer and properly position patients for examinations in order to obtain desired in-vivo imaging results according to the physician specifications. Provide immobilization as required and protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
  • Assist physicians in performance or examinations by preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals to patients under the direction of a licensed physician, holding and turning patients, assisting in sterile procedures.
  • Practice sterile techniques and prevents cross contamination. Maintain orderliness and cleanliness, including provision for the contamination free condition of rooms, equipment, and personnel.
  • Demonstrate Customer Service/Service Plus principles and behaviors appropriately.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Texas Medical Board-MRT license required.
  • Current BCLS certification required.
  • ARRT or NMCT required.
