PMAT is in search of a System Administrator (Networks) who will play a pivotal role in the maintenance and support of an advanced Department of Defense tactical information system. This role is essential in ensuring the operational readiness of prototype systems that are on the verge of transitioning to full-scale production.

The primary focus will be on the Minotaur Mission Management System, which is designed to process sensor data from multiple sources, enhancing the capabilities of mission operators in track identification. We seek an individual who is results-oriented, exhibits strong leadership potential, and is dedicated to delivering a system that meets our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate both existing and new functionalities into operational systems across various platforms.
  • Provide comprehensive support throughout all phases of software, hardware, and network engineering, including design, implementation, installation, integration, testing, and ongoing maintenance.

Clearance Requirement: An active TS/SCI Clearance is mandatory, and candidates must be prepared to undergo a Polygraph examination as required.

Location: Denver, CO

Technical Expertise Required:

  • Proficient in LINUX/UNIX command line interface (CLI) system administration.
  • Experience with CISCO networking, including the development and management of L2/L3 switching and routing configurations.
  • Ability to conduct high-level error debugging of graphical user interfaces by analyzing application logs and XML-based configurations, along with advanced troubleshooting of related hardware.
  • Implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems as per DoD guidelines.
  • Conduct on-demand vulnerability assessments using tools like Nessus Manager and address identified vulnerabilities according to DoD protocols.
  • Collaborate with mission partners to establish both physical and virtual servers/workstations based on existing documentation.
  • Familiarity with military tactical data links (Link-16, IBS/CIB).
  • Documentation skills to create necessary instructions and diagrams.

General Skills:

  • Participate in project meetings as necessary, coordinating with contractors and clients.
  • Assist in the assembly and modification of electrical components and subassemblies, including power cabling and data bus interconnects.
  • Utilize a variety of hand tools and testing equipment to fabricate and assemble IT systems and connections.
  • Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Contribute to the construction of deployable field units and assist in their installation at various sites.

Education and Certifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, Linux+, VMware Certified Professional, or equivalent are preferred but not mandatory.
