The Indirect Operations Manager will report directly to the Director of Warehouse and Logistics. This role is pivotal in overseeing the Indirect Operations within the designated region. The individual will be responsible for directing, managing, and coordinating all facets of Warehouse, Transportation, Inventory, and Indirect Operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety of operations within the area of responsibility.
  • Maintain compliance with business regulations and standards.
  • Administer and enforce customer/vendor contract requirements effectively.
  • Enhance operational performance through the development of KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Implement the business's operational concepts through effective organization and communication.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to address issues and ensure business continuity.
  • Provide the team with the necessary tools to meet business demands.
  • Work with vendors to address and resolve business challenges.
  • Communicate and escalate business challenges to supervisors as needed.
  • Take a proactive leadership role in driving business initiatives.
  • Manage daily and weekly workload planning to align with business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Oversee carrier performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Accountable for the accuracy, efficiency, and overall effectiveness of inbound, outbound, and inventory operations.
  • Lead Inventory Control Processes and the Cycle Count Program, including managing third-party audits.
  • Coordinate planning, production, and shipping to ensure operational alignment.
  • Ensure timely and efficient handling of products, parts, or supplies.
  • Serve as a technical expert, fostering organizational sustainability through process improvement training and implementation.
  • Lead and manage physical inventory counts.
  • Participate in special projects as directed.
  • Implement company policies and initiatives effectively.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience: 5-10 years of relevant experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, or manufacturing.

Skills:

  • Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments, identifying business problems and providing solutions.
  • Functional knowledge of global and domestic supply chain concepts.
  • Strong inventory management skills, including experience with cycle count programs.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Understanding of manufacturing scheduling and planning.
  • Familiarity with production and warehousing operations.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across various business functions.
  • Strong planning, organization, and decision-making abilities.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Occasional physical activities such as reaching, squatting, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.
  • Availability for overtime as necessary.
