Cote Korean Steakhouse in the Miami Design District offers a unique dining experience blending Korean Barbeque with classic American Steakhouse traditions. We serve high-quality USDA Prime beef accompanied by an extensive wine list and creative cocktails.

As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing delicious dishes, setting up workstations, and assisting our Chefs with daily tasks. You will work closely with all Back of House team members to ensure seamless service.

Job Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled Prep Cook who can:

  1. Set up and sanitize workstations before starting prep work.
  2. Measure ingredients and seasonings, and prepare cooking ingredients for service.
  3. Undertake basic cooking duties such as cutting, slicing, peeling, monitoring stock levels, reducing sauces, and preparing pickles and kimchi.
  4. Ensure all food and other items are stored properly and tagged, date-labeled, covered, and rotated effectively.
  5. Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
  6. Supervise food and cooling room temperatures.
  7. Label, stock, and organize all ingredients on shelves for easy accessibility.
  8. Work efficiently with kitchen team members and comply with company procedures and food safety standards.
  9. Keep utensils and equipment clean and sanitary at all times, avoiding cross-contamination.
  10. Report to each scheduled shift on time, in uniform, and ready to work.
  11. Assist other stations or areas of the restaurant when requested by management.
  12. Perform additional tasks assigned by the Executive and Sous Chef to maintain the highest standards of food quality, cost control, consistency, and cleanliness.
  13. Be quick, diligent, and willing to improve on the job.
  14. Train new employees as assigned.

  9. Compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Physical Demands:

This role requires:

  1. Prolonged periods of standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and kneeling.
  2. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
  3. Frequent exposure to hazards including burns, cuts, scrapes, and frequent hand exposure to water.
  4. Ability to withstand temperature fluctuations within the work environment.
  5. Handling heavy equipment and machinery.
  6. Prolonged standing at a work station.
