Facial Plastic Surgery Faculty Position

The Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Minnesota is actively seeking a full-time surgeon who is certified or eligible by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery for the role of Assistant/Associate Professor. This position is available on either the academic or clinician track, depending on the qualifications and interests of the selected candidate.
The ideal candidate will have successfully completed a Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and will demonstrate a strong expertise and interest in facial plastic surgery, particularly in areas such as Rhinoplasty, Facial Rejuvenation, Soft Tissue Reconstruction, and Facial Trauma. A commitment to developing a comprehensive practice and fostering relationships with local healthcare providers is essential. Additionally, a passion for educating residents, medical students, and fellows is crucial. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in Minnesota and authorized to work in the United States. Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited ACGME Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency program.
- Successful completion of a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship.
- Certification or eligibility by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
- Proven expertise and interest in facial plastic surgery, particularly in Rhinoplasty, Facial Rejuvenation, Soft Tissue Reconstruction, Facial Trauma, and Skin Resurfacing.
- A strong enthusiasm for teaching residents, medical students, and fellows.
- Active engagement in clinical and/or basic science research to enhance the knowledge base of the specialty.
- Professionalism demonstrated through pro bono work and involvement in academic societies.
- A proactive approach to developing and expanding a practice both within the academic setting and in private practice.
