Position Overview

The Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Minnesota is on the lookout for a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible surgeon specializing in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. This role is available at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, depending on qualifications and interests.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have completed a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and possess significant expertise in facial plastic surgery, particularly in Rhinoplasty, Facial Rejuvenation, Soft Tissue Reconstruction, and Facial Trauma. A commitment to developing a comprehensive practice and fostering relationships with local healthcare providers is essential. Additionally, a passion for educating residents, medical students, and fellows is crucial.

The University of Minnesota's Department of Otolaryngology boasts over 130 years of excellence in patient care, research, and education. Our team comprises more than 40 physicians dedicated to providing advanced patient care through our clinical practice, which includes over 700 university doctors. Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited ACGME Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency program.
  • Successful completion of a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship.
  • Eligibility or certification by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
  • Demonstrated interest and expertise in facial plastic surgery, particularly in Rhinoplasty, Facial Rejuvenation, Soft Tissue Reconstruction, and Facial Trauma.
  • Enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Engagement in clinical or basic science research to enhance the specialty's knowledge base.
  • Professionalism reflected through community service and active participation in academic societies.
  • Drive and passion to expand and develop a practice in both academic and private settings.
  • Eligibility for licensure in Minnesota and ability to obtain DEA certification.
  • Compliance with credentialing and privilege requirements.
  • Ability to secure work authorization in the United States.
