TCI Technology Consulting Inc is seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Administrator to support multiple databases tasks in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in Oracle RAC, Grid infrastructure, Data Guard, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Database Management: Maintain and manage databases using command line, OEM, and SSMS. Experience with migrating databases to lower cost options is an added plus.
- High Availability and Data Replication: Highly skilled in Oracle database backup/recovery, high availability, data replication solutions, and applying quarterly security patches.
- Database Development and Security: Creation of jobs, stored procedures, and other database activities as needed. Control of security of the database systems and how users interact with the data.
- Documentation and Implementation: Documentation of database processes. Plan and execute implementations of new data-related applications and systems.
- System Performance and Health Monitoring: System performance tuning and diagnostic-related tasks. System health monitoring and proactive correction of issues.
- ONCALL Rotation: ONCALL rotation with other team members. Ability to physically be at the facility within an hour of getting a call.
- Bachelor's Degree: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or similar discipline.
- Oracle DBA Experience: Minimum 6 years as an Oracle DBA experience.
- Linux Red Hat Experience: 3+ years with Linux Red Hat.
- Oracle DB Technologies: 5+ years solid overall experience with Oracle DB technologies, Oracle Enterprise Manager, upgrade/patching including quarterly security patches for RAC, Data Guard Standby, standalone environments.
- Leadership Experience: Minimum 4 years experience leading and managing a team.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- US Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
- SQL Server Experience: SQL Server database management on VMWARE experience is desired.
- Oracle Multitenant Experience: Knowledge and experience with standard SQL Server (version 2012 and later) administration, backup, recovery, refresh databases, performance tuning, HA/DR solutions, upgrade and patching in a virtual environment is an added plus.
