Lead, System Administration

Job Summary:

L3Harris is seeking a highly skilled Lead Systems Administration TS/SCI W/ Poly professional to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for configuring, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Redhat/Oracle Linux systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Redhat/Oracle Linux systems (physical and virtual)
  • Experience deploying infrastructure through automation
  • Familiarity with implementing and maintaining security controls in compliance with DoD security frameworks
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), agile system development, and DevSecOps tools and processes
  • Experience in Linux automation using Kickstart, Podman, Ansible, and Puppet
  • Experience integrating Linux and Windows systems together in a unified Active Directory Domain
  • Experience in creating and using containers in a LINUX and Windows Environment
  • Experience customizing/optimizing/trouble shooting enterprise level applications
  • Security administration experience in support of RMF requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge RMF and cybersecurity requirements
  • Ability to integrate RMF principles into ground-up builds
  • Experience with continuous integration, build management, and/or automated test frameworks
  • Experience with testing applications such as Jenkins, Jira, and Bitbucket
  • Experience in using and creating LDAP for Windows and LINUX IDM
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of relevant experience or,
  • Graduate Degree and minimum 7 years of relevant experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • DoD M IAT Level 2 certification (e.g. Security +)
  • Active TS/SCI with CI poly
Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Current Linux Certifications such as RedHat Certification (RHCSA or RHCE)
  • CompTIA Linux
  • Experience in the use of IT tools for managing and troubleshooting complex computer networks
  • Previous experience supporting DoD & IC Government customers
  • Experience with continuous integration, build management, and/or automated test frameworks
  • Hardware/software requirement verification/system validation experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work and grow in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Experience with Virtualization (KVM), Backup Technologies such as NAS, SAN, iSCSI, SAS
  • Experience supporting DoD/government customers
  • Experience integrating and administering cross-domain systems
  • Experience with microservices, containers (i.e., docker)
