Position Overview

The Fire Protection Systems Installer is responsible for executing the installation project plan, which includes equipment delivery and collaboration with other trades to ensure successful project completion while exceeding customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize specialized skills and foundational knowledge of professional and technical principles.
  • Apply sound judgment based on experience and established practices.
  • Resolve issues by researching multiple alternatives and implementing effective solutions.
  • Lead a team by allocating tasks and ensuring quality completion.
  • Demonstrate leadership capabilities, including training, team building, and effective customer interaction.
  • Support the installation of fire safety and other building systems products.
  • Interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and operational manuals.
  • Program or possess experience with low voltage systems such as fire alarms, access control, and security systems.
  • Identify and address out-of-scope requests from contractors or customers, providing suggested solutions.
  • Assist customers with inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Communicate project status effectively to management.
  • Complete all necessary company documentation as required.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Commitment to start testing for NICET II within the first year of employment.
  • Knowledge of meeting with code officials for licensing and permits.
  • Experience coordinating project activities with other trades to enhance installation efficiency.
  • Proficiency in industry-related software, including MS Office.
  • Obtain any required certifications or licenses.
  • Excellent communication skills, demonstrating tact and diplomacy with customers.
  • Able to work in challenging physical conditions, including heights and confined spaces.
  • Capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
