Environmental Project Scientist

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our environmental team, you will be responsible for planning and conducting field studies, including habitat assessments, botanical surveys, and endangered species surveys.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct field studies to assess environmental impacts and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and other documentation as required.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant environmental regulations and policies.

Requirements:

  • BS or MS in an environmental science or natural resources discipline.
  • 5-8 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Significant experience planning and conducting field studies.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
  • Basic or working knowledge of Southeastern flora and fauna.
  • Experience permitting natural resources projects in the Southeast and working with state and federal resource agencies.
