The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the execution of small to medium-sized engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction/construction management (EPFC/CM) projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key responsibilities will include:
- Verifying that Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols are implemented throughout all phases of the project
- Reviewing and interpreting the Fluor contract and any relevant subcontracts
- Collaborating with the project team to prepare and implement project execution plans, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and Fluor's Operating System Requirements (OSR)
- Developing and maintaining project baselines, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans
- Providing support to the Project Director in delivering the project, including coordinating with stakeholders, managing risks, and resolving issues
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including project teams, clients, and vendors.
Requirements
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in a relevant field of study
- Seven (7) years of work-related experience in project management, or a combination of education and experience equal to eleven (11) years if non-degreed
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
Preferred Qualifications
- Jobsite experience and understanding of construction safety programs
- Five (5) years of experience as a Project Engineer or Specialist, or a project role of significant capacity such as Project Controls Lead, Contracts Lead, etc.
- Project or area management experience in international locations and diverse cultural environments
