Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English teacher to join our team at Keller ISD. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students and helping them achieve their full potential.

Main Responsibilities:

Instructional Strategies

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students, ensuring they meet the requirements of our curriculum program.
  • Utilize a range of instructional strategies, activities, and materials to create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Conduct regular assessments to identify areas of improvement and adjust your teaching methods accordingly.
  • Collaborate with Special Education Teachers to modify curricula for students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Work with colleagues to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods that align with district requirements.

Student Growth and Development

  • Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide targeted support to ensure they meet their academic goals.
  • Take on extracurricular responsibilities as assigned, including sponsoring approved activities.
  • Model positive behavior and serve as a role model for students.

Classroom Management and Organization

  • Create a safe and conducive learning environment that promotes academic growth and social development.
  • Manage student behavior in accordance with our Student Code of Conduct and student handbook.
  • Take necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, and facilities.
  • Assist in selecting instructional materials and maintaining accurate records.

Communication

Effective communication is essential in our team. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless communication and support.
