The fundamental responsibilities, in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, may encompass the typical duties and obligations outlined herein; however, this compilation serves as examples only and is not an exhaustive enumeration of all functions and tasks associated with this role.

Exemplify the core organizational beliefs and values of Keller ISD; execute responsibilities efficiently and effectively to foster high levels of student achievement. Provide support for program implementation and service delivery; engage in effective communication within and across teams, and actively participate in collaborative work groups. Uphold a commitment to the District's mission; demonstrate District expectations through personal leadership and actively contribute to the collective efforts of others in achieving District objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Instructional Approaches

Design and execute lesson plans for in-person instruction that meet the requirements of the District's curriculum framework, ensuring written documentation of preparation as mandated. Prepare lessons that accommodate individual student differences. Strategically plan and utilize suitable instructional and learning methodologies, resources, materials, equipment, and technology that reflect an understanding of the diverse learning styles and needs of assigned students, presenting subject matter in accordance with guidelines established by the Texas Education Agency, board policies, and administrative regulations. Assess student learning styles and utilize the findings to inform instructional planning. Collaborate with Special Education Teachers to adapt curricula as necessary for Special Education students, following the guidelines outlined in Individual Education Plans (IEP). Work collaboratively with colleagues to establish instructional goals, objectives, and methodologies in alignment with district standards. Delegate tasks to instructional aides and volunteers, overseeing their completion.

Student Development and Growth

Conduct continuous assessments of student performance through both formal and informal evaluation methods. Take responsibility for extracurricular activities as assigned, sponsoring approved outside activities. Serve as a positive role model for students.

Classroom Management and Organization

Establish a classroom environment that promotes learning and is suitable for the physical, social, and emotional development of students. Manage student behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and the student handbook. Implement all necessary and reasonable precautions to safeguard students, equipment, materials, and facilities. Assist in the selection of books, equipment, and other instructional resources. Compile, maintain, and organize all required reports, records, and documentation.

Communication and Collaboration

Effective communication is essential in this role, fostering collaboration among staff, students, and the community to enhance the educational experience.
