Significance of This Role:
The Lead Talent Acquisition Specialist - Technical will collaborate with internal teams to deliver comprehensive recruitment services aimed at identifying, attracting, and securing diverse and innovative talent, thereby providing a competitive advantage that propels business success while ensuring a premier recruitment experience. This role will primarily focus on our IT, Data Analytics, Legal, and Finance sectors, in addition to other corporate divisions.
Typical Responsibilities:
- Gain a thorough understanding of the organization's talent strategy and how it aligns with the corporate business model regarding talent requirements.
- Proactively influence and advise hiring managers by leveraging knowledge of the organization and labor market expertise to inform staffing choices.
- Employ creative sourcing techniques to identify diverse candidates for open positions and to cultivate robust talent pools.
- Promote diversity initiatives through active engagement with key external organizations to ensure a varied candidate slate and guide hiring managers in mitigating bias during the selection process.
- Support candidates by encouraging hiring managers to prioritize values and transferable skills in their selections.
- Translate business needs into sourcing strategies that address current requirements and foster the development of targeted talent pipelines for future needs, ensuring diverse candidate availability.
- Provide analytical insights to HR partners and hiring managers, recommending innovative strategies to meet recruitment objectives.
- Utilize applicant tracking systems, online recruitment platforms, and social media tools to engage and recruit potential candidates.
- Lead or participate in recruitment initiatives focused on workforce planning, enhancing hiring processes, elevating brand visibility, or related activities.
- Effectively source and attract BIPOC talent with a strategic emphasis on leadership roles (supervisor level and above).
- Act as a proactive brand ambassador by engaging in networking events, community outreach, and professional associations to source new talent, develop talent pools, and strengthen the employment brand.
- Conduct initial phone screenings of candidates.
- Maintain and update data within the applicant tracking system.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in diversity recruitment.
- Background in corporate recruitment (IT, legal, finance, data analytics, etc.).
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience. All pertinent experience, including work, education, transferable skills, and military service, will be considered.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building abilities with a capacity to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.
- In-depth knowledge of local and national labor markets, including current employment trends and diversity recruitment practices.
- Expertise in sourcing candidates.
- Strong connections with diversity organizations and associations.
- Certification in diversity recruiting is required within 90 days of employment. Acceptable certifications are available through Textio, LinkedIn, SHRM, and other professional organizations. Existing diversity recruiting certifications may be acceptable.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (preferably Workday) and social media platforms.
- Understanding of federal and state employment laws, compensation, diversity, EEO, Affirmative Action, and ADA regulations.
- Proven ability to think strategically.
- Data-driven mindset with the capability to extract insights and recommendations from analysis and present findings clearly and concisely.
- A strong desire for continuous learning and a passion for recruiting, particularly in discovering and utilizing new candidate channels to build diverse candidate slates.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
