Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technical Supervisor with expertise in audio, video, or lighting systems. This role is pivotal in overseeing floor operations while prioritizing customer satisfaction and team leadership. The Technical Supervisor will guide the technical team to enhance operational effectiveness and ensure client contentment. This position may also involve administrative responsibilities to support onsite operations and facilitate professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Management
• Ensure precise and timely setup, operation, and dismantling of audiovisual equipment as specified in the technical qualifications.
• Address technical challenges promptly and efficiently.
• Adhere to all company security and safety protocols.
• Safeguard equipment against theft and damage during use.

Client Relations
• Deliver exceptional service, aiming to surpass the expectations of both internal and external clients.
• Foster positive relationships with clients through effective communication.
• Engage with guests onsite to confirm their requirements are met and that equipment setups function correctly.
• Monitor events and maintain communication with clients throughout the day.
• Understand and nurture the relationship between the hotel and clients.

Team Development
• Assist in training technicians on all operational activities and service expectations.
• Act as a mentor for new team members.
• Promote a positive work environment aligned with company values.

Operational Oversight
• Organize daily activities to ensure timely setup, refresh, and removal of equipment.
• Manage daily floor operations, directing technician workflow and assisting with labor needs and scheduling.
• Ensure that equipment documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Collaborate with the team to establish effective communication for event management.
• Attend necessary venue meetings (e.g., banquet event orders or pre-event discussions).

Equipment Care
• Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment to maintain its appearance and functionality.
• Lead the team in proper security, storage, transportation, and upkeep of equipment.
• Participate in inventory counts as required.

Qualifications
• A bachelor's degree is preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred.
• 3-5 years of audiovisual experience is required.
• Internal candidates must hold Technical 1-Star Certification prior to application. External candidates are expected to achieve this certification within 60 days of employment.
• Strong understanding of technical principles.
• Advanced problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Experience in leading teams and managing workflows.
• A valid driver's license is necessary for positions involving company vehicle operation.
• Additional DOT requirements may apply.
