Overview

The Mechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for the assembly of mechanical components and fabricated parts, utilizing various tools and equipment in the production of slot cabinets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and adhere to technical documentation, including build guides, blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings, to accurately assemble mechanical components and fabricated products.
  • Execute assembly tasks with proficiency across multiple mechanical assembly and sub-assembly stations.
  • Conduct calibration tests on components and mechanisms to ensure compliance with tolerance levels and quality standards; identify and rectify any quality failures or out-of-tolerance units.
  • Plan and execute work tasks based on experience and judgment, with appropriate guidance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform quality checks to confirm that products meet established quality criteria.
  • Support other areas of the production floor as required.
  • Assist in the training of new assembly personnel.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • No prior experience required; training will be provided.
  • Proficient in the use of tools such as drills, wrenches, and screwdrivers.
  • Willingness to perform repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods.
  • Consistent attendance record.
  • Completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check is mandatory.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift for up to 8 hours daily.
  • Vision capabilities must include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • May need to stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch.
  • Work environment may have moderately loud noise levels.
