Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Restaurant Host/Cashier to join our team at Seminole Gaming. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a positive dining experience, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service: Greet and serve guests in a timely and courteous manner, ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure.
  • Seating and Ushering: Obtain information from guests and efficiently seat them in a timely manner, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience.
  • Communication: Communicate customer requests to assigned servers, ensuring that guests receive prompt and attentive service.
  • Knowledge of Restaurant Operations: Be knowledgeable of the restaurant's seating plan, including sections, table numbers, and seat numbers.
  • Problem-Solving: Handle and resolve any concerns or questions customers may have, relaying guest complaints or compliments to the appropriate manager on duty.
  • Cash Handling: Collect various forms of payment to process orders, making accurate change and processing credit card payments.
  • Order Processing: Enter guests' checks into the computer system, apply monies, and process to-go orders over the phone or in-person.
  • Teamwork: Promote positive public and employee relations at all times, working collaboratively with the front-of-house team to ensure exceptional service.
  • Setup and Closing: Complete all setup and closing duties in a timely fashion, ensuring the restaurant is prepared for the next service period.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in high-volume food service, with a focus on cashiering and money handling.
  • Customer Service: Ability to deliver a service level that creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, providing a positive and memorable experience.
  • Teamwork: Commitment to working collaboratively with the front-of-house team to achieve exceptional service and maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
  • Availability: Ability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends, as well as holidays and special events.
Work Environment

The Casino environment is fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. You may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors, including second-hand smoke, excessive noise, and constant exposure to the general public.
