Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced NICU RN Specialist to join our team at UW Medical Center - Montlake.

About the Role:

This is a 13-week contract position offering a competitive salary of $41,093.44 per week, based on a 48-hour workweek and a Night - 12x4 - 07PM shift schedule.

Job Description:

  • Provide specialized nursing care for very low birth weight premature infants requiring ventilatory support.
  • Work in a state-of-the-art 54-bed Level III NICU serving as a regional referral center.
  • Participate in a flexible scheduling system, including potential weekend rotations based on the unit's needs.
  • Be open to floating within the hospital, specifically to the Mother Baby unit to care for infants only.
  • Engage in EPIC charting system; experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Complete required non-billable modules pre-start, including EPIC during orientation.
  • Adhere to facility's compliance requirements, ensuring all necessary documentation and background checks are completed.
  • Attend mandatory orientations which occur twice a month.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years NICU experience in a Level III unit, experience in teaching hospitals.
  • Compact License or Single State License acceptable.
  • Certifications: BLS, NRP.
  • Must-Have: Experience with ventilatory support in a high-risk infants' care environment.
