MSA Safety is seeking a skilled Assembler and Repair Technician to join our team at our Cranberry Township, PA manufacturing plant. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and testing Printed Circuit Boards, as well as performing other functions to support the operations of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair moderately complex circuit boards and sub-assemblies, requiring wiring and soldering.
  • Perform machine or soldering iron calibration using existing test setups or procedures.
  • Set up automated assembly machines and make necessary machine adjustments for start-up and operation.
  • Assemble and test moderately complex circuit boards and sub-assemblies as time permits.
  • Maintain relevant information in computer systems and complete associated paperwork.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated proficiency in soldering.
  • Ability to identify electronic components, read and understand drawings, work instructions, and test procedures.
  • Understand standard units of measure and set up and interpret results of various measuring devices.
  • Perform standard software operations, including SAP.
  • Sometimes lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 pounds without assistance.
  • Use power and hand tools.
  • Regularly perform work that requires magnification and steady hand.
  • Concentrate for prolonged periods of time.
  • Effectively communicate with various levels within the organization.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Prioritize and organize work.
Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in electronics or equivalent.
  • 3 years previous work experience troubleshooting circuit boards may be substituted for degree.
  • Minimum 18 months electronics manufacturing or other related experience.
  • Past soldering experience.
  • Skills test with passing score is required for this position.
