We're seeking a highly skilled Principal Propulsion Systems Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to map technical risk to program needs. You will identify and implement design changes to improve system reliability, reduce operational cost, and execute component and subsystem level testing.
As a technical leader, you will guide the technical and program teams of another business unit through the development of a new engine design. Your passion for safe human spaceflight and our mission to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles is essential.
Minimum qualifications include a B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 10+ years of proven experience in launch vehicle, aviation, or automotive development. Proficiency in structural analysis, design release processes, and 3D CAD programs is also required.
Preferred qualifications include an M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 12+ years of proven experience in aerospace development. Proficiency in Python, C++, and version control is also preferred.
At Blue Origin, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, and a 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%.
