Business Operations Manager - 100% Remote Opportunity

We're seeking a highly skilled Business Operations Manager to join our client's architecture firm. As the sole individual handling financial management, you will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and managing financial budgets and forecasts. You will prepare financial reports, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for improvement. Collaboration with team members to track project budgets, costs, and profitability is also a key aspect of this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Develop, monitor, and manage financial budgets and forecasts. Prepare financial reports, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Contract Management: Assist in drafting and reviewing standard contracts with clients, suppliers, and partners.
  • Accounting Tasks: Conduct monthly bookkeeping, asset tracking, billing, and payroll activities. Ensure payroll tax compliance and maintain organized records. Work closely with CPA for timely tax filings.
  • Employee Benefits and Payroll: Oversee employee benefits programs and process payroll accurately and timely.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in architecture or similar industry.
  • Proficiency with Deltek Vantagepoint, Vision, or Ajera.

Additional Information:

Salary: $95,000

Location: Portland, Oregon - full remote available for an Oregon or SW Washington based candidate.
