Job Summary

As a Polysomnographic Technologist at Corewell Health, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This includes collecting, analyzing, and integrating patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs, preparing and calibrating testing equipment, and implementing appropriate interventions. You will work under the supervision of a Medical Director and designee to ensure the collection of appropriate data and the implementation of optimal patient safety and therapeutic interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs
  • Prepare and calibrate testing equipment
  • Implement appropriate interventions, including actions necessary for optimal patient safety and therapeutic intervention
  • Participate in quality management programs, Joint Commission initiatives, and process improvement projects
  • Establish and maintain policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory agencies

Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a formal polysomnography program or enrolled in a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) program with the polysomnography option
  • Preferred Associate's Degree
  • Familiarity with the field of sleep medicine
  • CRT-Polysomnographic Technologist certification or CRT-Respiratory Therapist certification
