Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at St. Tammany Health System. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating x-ray equipment, positioning patients, and recording and presenting images for review by radiologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate x-ray equipment to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
  • Position patients to ensure accurate and comfortable imaging
  • Record and present images to radiologists for review and interpretation
  • Perform a variety of technical procedures, including screening and diagnostic mammograms, dexa scans, and stereotactic biopsy procedures
Requirements
  • Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with certification in Mammography
  • Licensed by State of Louisiana in Radiologic Technology
  • Current BLS certification through an ILCOR-approved course
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with patients of all types and ages
  • Strong guest relations skills and excellent communication/social skills
  • Ability to maintain a high standard of medical ethics
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in mammography
  • EPIC experience
Physical Demands

This role requires good physical health and the ability to stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required, and the ability to work with a moderate level of noise is necessary.
