Mammography Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our Imaging/Radiology team at MultiCare Health System. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease.
  • Collaborate with the radiologist to perform all departmental special procedures.
  • Accurately produce mammographic images per protocol, making appropriate technical adjustments for body size and habitus, age, and past medical history.
  • Provide compassionate communications of procedures to patients and demonstrate knowledge and application of radiation safety principles for both patients and self.
Requirements:
  • Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology in an AMA-approved school.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Certified with the State of Washington Department of Health.
  • Mammography Certification required, or eligible for certification; If eligible, must obtain certification within 6 months of hire into this job classification.
