As an Environmental Services Specialist, you will perform essential cleaning duties while engaging with patients, visitors, and fellow staff members. The following outlines the key responsibilities and tasks associated with this role, with the understanding that additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

+ It is crucial for an Environmental Services Specialist to interact comfortably with patients, families, and visitors. A warm smile and friendly attitude are essential to making our visitors feel welcomed and cared for.

+ Conduct daily cleaning of patient rooms, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized, walls and windows are spot cleaned, trash and linens are removed as needed, and restrooms are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Dust mopping and damp mopping are also required.

+ Maintain cleanliness in ancillary areas, including nurses' stations, medication rooms, pantries, utility rooms, waiting areas, locker rooms, break rooms, offices, and other specified locations.

+ Environmental Services Specialists will be tasked with cleaning specialized areas, which may include Operating Rooms, Pre-Op and Post-Op areas, Emergency Departments, Intensive and Critical Care Units, Labor and Delivery Units, Pediatric Units, Mental Health Units, Oncology, Radiology, Laboratories, Physical and Occupational Therapy areas, Pharmacy, Geriatrics, and Kitchen facilities.

+ Core tasks include cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, vacuuming, dust mopping, damp mopping, low and high dusting, stocking supplies, removing trash and soiled linens, and delivering clean linens as required. Additional miscellaneous tasks may be assigned.

+ Specialists will utilize appropriate cleaning chemicals and adhere to established guidelines while performing their duties. Training will be provided to ensure proficiency in required tasks and proper use of cleaning tools.

Required:
