About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Investment Associate to join our team at New York Life Insurance Company. As a key member of our commercial real estate debt and equity origination team, you will be responsible for supporting the origination and acquisition process, including underwriting, research, due diligence, and closing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support commercial real estate debt and equity originators and equity asset managers in all aspects of the mortgage origination and equity acquisition process
  • Conduct financial modeling, investment analysis, and prepare internal investment memoranda
  • Develop a solid career in commercial real estate, working on large and complex transactions, and interacting with premier players in the industry
Requirements

  • Working knowledge of commercial real estate, including office buildings, shopping centers, apartments, and industrial warehouse buildings
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a business-related field with a strong academic record and preference for a concentration in Finance or Real Estate
  • Two or more years of real estate investment/underwriting experience, preferably working for an institutional investment company, commercial lender, brokerage company, appraisal firm, or related commercial real estate firm
  • Proficiency in Argus and advanced modeling skills in Microsoft Excel
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary range: $87,500-$125,000
